"Black Mirror"

Once a year, the DESTE Foundation picks an artist to take over its project space, an old slaughterhouse on the beautiful Greek island of Hydra. This summer, multimedia artist Doug Aitken became the third particpant to transform the unique location with "Black Mirror," a meditation on contemporary life that combines video installations and live theater performances starring Chloë Sevigny, gospel singers, strippers, tap dancers, and musicians; the LA-based band No Age sets the mood, aided by a group of Greek percussionists.
