SCRY, a pioneering footwear laboratory founded by innovation designer @SCCCCCRY in 2020, has released a new design called Stela, available in a smooth "basic" version and an "eroded" version. The shoes are of course 3D printed. Just phenomenal. I am aching for a pair.
The website describes the shoe:
"Stela, the latest footwear series released by SCRY is inspired by the Black Monolith in space. It exists divorced from reality and can transfer freely in the universe. Exploring the unknown of the universe transcends the boundaries of time and space, which also breaks the constraints of dimensions. The presence of the Monolith rises and falls with the entire scenario of the shuttle space, destroying the boundaries of vision and throwing off the shackles of the concrete. The darkness begins and ends here."
An take a look at some of their other offerings. The future of footwear is here.
The Core shoe comes in two different parts, a rubber running shoe with a bulbous tread and a neoprene spat!
The name of the Mercury shoe looks like it references not only the silver mercury color of the body but the slight suggestion of wings at the ankles, like Mercury or Hermes, the messenger God of ancient Greece and Rome.
And the Neptune shoe really does seem aquatic, like a cowboy boot with frond-y gills
Shoes can be reserved at their website!
