Happy Valentine's Day
This is an image of one of the purported relics of St. Valentine. Several churches claim to have the skull and other relics of this saint including a church in Dublin, Ireland. This skull is located in the Basilica Santa Maria Cosmedin, a minor church in Rome. The image below is of the alleged remains of St. Valantinus. They were supposedly removed from the catacombs of Rome in the seventeenth century, dressed in jewel-encrusted robes and relocated to a remote church on the German/Czech border. They are still there.
