BEAUTY: Painting--Paul Rouphail
I have developed a real appreciation for cityscapes in the last many years, and the work of artist Paul Rouphail deliciously straddles the line between photorealism and a sort of gritty Impressionism. His cityscapes are an interesting study in contradiction: sweeping and romantic despite the fact that there is no sign of human presence... they show cavernous, open areas yet somehow feel claustrophobic...
