What Are You Going As For Halloween?

Here is a great collection of vintage masks...who are you going as this year? Col. Sanders? John and Jackie Kennedy? Starsky and Hutch? Cleopatra? A gypsy? Batman and Robin? Spock? Scooby Doo and Shaggy? The Pink Panther? A Reese's Peanut Butter Cup?

"Before The Dawn" at the Victoria and Albert Museum

Regular readers know that I was lucky enough to land tickets to see legendary Kate Bush's instantly-sold-out show "Before The Dawn" last year in London--I saw the show late in its run, in September, 2014 and reviewed it here.

And now, as part of an exhibit entitled "Make/Believe," some costumes and model set designs for her show are on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London until January 3rd, 2016. Take a look at the photos below, via Kate Bush News, of the exhibit followed by photos of the actual sets.

BEAUTY: Mixed Media and Photography--Simon Birch

British-born Hong Kong artist Simon Birch created a series called Freakshow, consisting of people (patiently) covered in an assortment of everyday, industrial, or just plain unusual materials. The incense sticks speak to his life in his adopted Hong Kong...

Steel wool

Cable ties

Plastic balls

Nylon stockings and water balloons

Balloons

Toothpicks

Nylon tubing

Stockings and beanbag foam balls

Incense sticks
