BEAUTY: Painting--Glyn Warren Philpot
Glyn Warren Philpot, October 5th, 1884 – December 16th, 1937, was an English painter, openly gay, and a devout Catholic. He painted portraits of several famous people including Siegfried Sassoon and Vladimir Rosing. Philpot was a popular and successful painter until he started painting work with openly gay subject matter. If only he could have lived to see a time when such work would have been embraced and celebrated.
