BEAUTY: Fabric Art--Lindsay Bottos-Sewell

Breaking up is hard to do. It looks so different when it is happening to someone else, but when it happens to one personally, it is confusing and agonizing. Lindsay Bottos-Sewell has captured the helplessness, emptiness, regret, and self-examination that comes with a break-up in some lovely, intimate pieces of art. In a cathartic process, she uses embroidery hoops, fabric, thread, photos, and mementos (presumably from her actual relationship and subsequent break-up) to memorialize her memories. Her "I Don't Really Miss You" suite is touching, sweet, poignant... and familiar to nearly all of us.
