BEAUTY: Painting--Andrew McIntosh
In what is a very meta viewing experience, English painter Andrew McIntosh paints abandoned cut away buildings showing famous pieces of art by other famous artists (Sir Anthony Gormley, John Singer Sargent, Damien Hirst, Dali, Pollack, Giacometti, Matisse, Monet, and Whistler...). It's a clever approach but it makes for interesting narratives on their own!
Top to bottom: Mutual Attraction; A Pub Called Courage; All By My Own Hand, Part 2 (Damien Hirst); Black Magic; Fury; Giacometti Van; Lucifer; Matisse Van; Monet Gatehouse; Seven Circles; Tod and Feuer; Whistler's Mum
