Beefbar Paris
Monaco-born restaurateur Ricardo Giraudi’s latest restaurant, Beefbar Paris was designed by interior design team Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet of Humbert & Poyet. The building was originally built in 1898 as the spectacular Art Nouveau-styled Lamgham Hotel by architect Emil Hurtré with walls painted by Jules Wielhorski. The structure was walled up during WWII to protect it from the Nazis, and it sat untouched, unbelievably, until 1983 when it was registered as an historic landmark. Yet it then sat forgotten again, until this current restoration of all interior details and elements brought it back to its Art Nouveau splendor. I love the color palette Humbert & Poyet used...the dusky, earthy greens. blues, and oranges perfectly compliment the original Art Nouveau palette and style.
