Happy Diwali!

Today is the first of five days of the Indian celebration of light, of good vanquishing evil. Indeed, after the events of the last week, it feels like light has returned to the world and goodness has vanquished evil!

Deepavali (Diwali) is the Indian festival of lights, celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika (between mid-October and mid-November). One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance."
