"Coming Up" by Active Child

I am sooooo glad Active Child is back after a years-long break. Here is the gorgeous, heartfelt "Coming Up." From his self-titled album, out now.

Give me some time to wander
Through my aching mind
Different names for all I ask
To see the truth

But they keep coming up
A long time now with yourself
They keep coming up
A long time now with yourself

Everyone knows the road
It bends away from you
Infinite love surrounding
All that you do

But they keeping coming up
A long time now with yourself
They keep coming up
A long time now with yourself

Coming up a long time now
Coming up a long time now
Coming up a long time now

Past, Present, And Future Trilogy By Active Child

Active Child (the nom de musique of Pat Grossi, previously here) always makes such lovely, profound music. And here is a touching video trilogy he made to accompany his songs "Set Me Free," "Weightless," and "In Another Life" that speaks to one's childhood, and loss, and ageing, and connections...and continuity...the last few minutes of "Set Me Free" are an unexpected lullaby and meditation. "Weightless" and "In Another Life" were filmed at Grossi's own beautiful home in Pasadena overlooking the San Gabriel mountains.

Just gorgeous.

"All Eyes on You" by Active Child

Here is "All Eyes on You" by Active Child, the nom de musique of Pat Grossi (previously here).
Love it.
And I REALLY love the inventiveness of the visuals, the illusion of a static image. It's unexpectedly powerful.

A solitary journey.
Breathtakingly, achingly beautiful.

Active Child: "You Are All I See"

I am absolutely thrilled that Active Child's new CD was just released. Called "You Are All I See," it is a glorious mix of electronica, harp, and Pat Grossi's divine, haunting voice. Here is a still video of the heavenly "Hanging On" from the new CD, on Vagrant Records.

The collection of songs has a delicate, yearning sound, with a little bit of "blue-eyed soul" thrown in. I seem to be stuck on "Hanging On" but I also like the lightly funky "Playing House" and the lovely and enigmatic instrumental "Ivy."

The album is available at Amazon and iTunes.

Thank you, Pat! I'll see you at The Bottom Of The Hill!

Currently listening to...

...and totally hypnotized by Active Child's (Pat Grossi) haunting live performance of the song "Wilderness." Wow.
I posted Active Child's fantastical and surreal "I'm In Your Church At Night" video here.
