The attendees of Pitti Uomo, the bi-annual fashion trade show held at the Fortezza de Basso in Florence, are always smartly dressed. Italian men love suits but style them in a way so as to be either more casual or extremely sharp, but never just a middle-of-the-road "suit."

We are also starting to see Craig Green's unmistakable flowing ties in street fashion.

Also spotted: hats! Panamas, pork pies, fedoras...

At the Florentine trade show Pitti Uomo which takes place every January and June before Milano Moda Uomo (and now after London Collections: Men), the attendees are always as interesting as any of the wares on display. I love the style these men possess...so mindful yet effortless, so roguishly insouciant...

A sampling of the attendees at this year's Pitti Uomo at the Fortezza de Basso in Florence. Shorts suits, breezy warm-weather clothes, and some great unique fashion details like a tassel on the back of a jacket, a knotted-rope belt, jodhpur-cut trousers, and Asian tops with frog closures.
