The classic Jodhpuri safa or turban comes from the state of Rajasthan, in northwest India. The turban is tied from 10 meters of fabric and features a tail in back and a fan crest on top. Safas generally come in red and yellow, but many different colors are worn as well. A jewel, called a kalgi, can be worn on the front of the turban.
