BEAUTY: Illustration--Frank Nikol
Frank Nikol's quirky, eerie, engaging illustrations are exactly what he describes them as on his website "When We Were Still Surrealists:" "one picture stories." The convenient black and white color palette ends up looking like film noir, or a screwball comedy, or even a Truffaut film! I also particularly like his frequent references to dreams, dreaming, and the dream state since I am personally fascinated with the Dream World...
