WOW. Dolce and Gabbana's Alta Sartoria show of menswear opened with a DAZZLING parade, literally, of traditional Sardinian clothing and costumes, including Carnevale costumes (previously here) and oxen carrying carts full of singing Sardinians, all on a carpet of flower petals. It is just incredible. Please do watch the video below which starts at the beginning of the parade with peeling bells. I think D&G have done an incredible job of exposing the world to Sardinian culture...it is all stunningly beautiful.
Of course please do stay for the runway show because the garments are all based on the traditional costumes just seen in the parade. All gorgeous...
