BEAUTY: Painting--Alena Aenami

Just look at the colors Alena Aenami uses in her images of sunsets and evening skies. Astounding! What skill to be able to conjure up the light and intense glow of a red sun on the horizon.

BEAUTY: Painting--Scott Naismith

Scottish painter Scott Naismith paints the clouds and shifting light of his home country in a rather spectacular way. His use of color and the way he renders light-filled clouds as fluffy but the earthly things below in blocky, quick strokes with a palette knife is just beautiful.

A storm's coming...

"There’s this big storm that’s all around us and we’re in the middle of it so it’s calm but I can feel it, like it’s everywhere."
--Florence Welch

I've been saying this and people don't believe me. But it's coming.
