A Whimsical Beach House by Wesley Moon

Interior designer Wesley Moon created a fantastical beach house for a family in Mantoloking, New Jersey after their original home was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. I love the over-the-top beach and ocean elements he poured into the interiors because, while they certainly reference said beaches and ocean, they are not expected. The yellow console table in the entry way studded with barnacles and topped with a heron, the seashell sconces, the ring chandelier made of oyster shells and the Marlin over the fireplace in the living room, the coral chandelier and coral/sea fan drapery in the dining room (check out that view!), the owner's prized collection of nautilus vessels and lobster plates made of Majolica in the kitchen and breakfast nook, and a magical powder room featuring an octopus sink by Shayne Greco and Fond Marin kelp forest wallcovering by Pierre Frey all combine to make an unforgettable and fun getaway.
