"Tear You Apart" by She Wants Revenge

Since it was used so effectively the other night in the premiere episode of "American Horror Story: Hotel," I am moved to post "Tear You Apart" by She Wants Revenge. It is clear to see that the band's influences include Bauhaus and Joy Division (the intro puts one in mind of the classic Bauhaus song "Bela Lugosi's Dead"). Justin Warfield, the lead singer, even has a delivery reminiscent of Peter Murphy (previously here and here), just not as low! The driving energy and relentless vocals of this track are chilling and dark, perfect for "AHS!" Of course the track was chosen on purpose: while vampiric characters played by Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer killed their victims in the episode, "Tear You Apart" was used to invoke the opening credits of "The Hunger" where vampires Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie slayed their victims to "Bela Lugosi's Dead." And to bring it back around, She Wants Revenge filmed a re-working of the opening scene of "The Hunger" for their video for "Written in Blood."
