BEAUTY: Interior Design--Sarah Vaile

This traditional, neo-classical Georgian home in Hinsdale, Illinois designed by interior designer Sarah Vaile is a delight. I love the dedication to pattern and color...it makes an interior interesting, interactive, inviting...hello Granny Smith green lacquered dining room walls! I especially love the photo of Cher, Elton John, and Diana Ross above the fireplace in the wood-paneled Library. Although the plaid-clad Tasting Lounge adjacent to the basement wine cellar is pretty amazing, too.

BEAUTY: Painting--The Luthier

An artist who goes only by the name The Luthier creates stunning images of people playing lutes. Their works look like Renaissance imagery complete with a copious amount of flowers and citrus fruits. But look at the mix of those sumptuous patterns and saturated colors. Just gorgeous.

The Luthier site says:
"Who can undo What time hath done? Who can win back the wind? Reckon lost music from a broken lute? Renew the redness of a last year's rose? Or dig the sunken sunset from the deep? We Can

I am The Luthier. I build lutes using acrylic, print, machine learning, digital manipulation, digital painting and collage."

The Luthier website shows work available to purchase!

BEAUTY: Interiors--Hubert Zandberg

I have just run across collector and interior designer Hubert Zandberg's work and I am smitten. As an interior designer myself, I greatly admire his skill...he seems to be untethered to any design styles or periods and instead utilizes his imagination to create wholly unique, rich interiors. I love his intricate, fascinating approach to layering: not only color, pattern, shape, and texture but objects as well. Antiques and indeed objects of true antiquity mix with contemporary pieces to form a sort a highly personal, highly detailed application of design principles. I want to visit each of these rooms below and study all the art, sculptures, and fabrics. Each space seems ready to tell incredible stories.

BEAUTY: Painting--Sarah Ann Weber

Feast your eyes on the engaging patterns and colors of Sarah Ann Weber's marvelous works filled to the brim with the glorious shapes of nature. And I appreciate how her figures, when and if they are present, are basically outlines, inconsequential against the pervasive psychedelic tapestry of leaves and branches and flowers...

Top to bottom: After Etant Donnes; Ambassador's Hotel Return; Arrest All The Beauty; Let The Wolves Out; Nature Boys of Hollywood; New Fields; Palm Canyon; Self Portrait; Worship In The Grove

But I particularly love her In Paris series...and how she painted on the mat surrounding each piece as well, so the work seeps out as it were...it feels lively and alive.

Top to bottom: Canal St. Martin; Giverny; Luxembourg Gardens; Musee de Cluny, fountain; Musee d'Orsay, steps; Train To Fontainebleau; Tuileries Gardens; Versailles
