Nice blog! :)
Are they dried flowers?
Hi Rikkibob, they are fresh flowers and herbs. Watch the video tutorial at the end of the post!
How do I know what flowers are edible. I have a lavendar cookie recipe
Hi Unknown,
Lavender IS edible...make sure you get lavender that has been organically grown without any pesticides. I find food-grade lavender in the bulk dried herb section of my local health food market.
You can Google "edible flowers" and find tons of information about which flowers you can eat.
Well now, these cookies are too darn pretty to eat.
I love your categories on books and movies. Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous cookies -- wish you included a printable recipe though...
A friend passed along the link to your gorgeous cookies. I'm diabetic and count carbs, do you know what the carb value is per cookie? Thanks.
Thanks Debbie! Glad you enjoyed.
Best,
JEF
Hi Cappuccino,
This is not my recipe. I state in the post that the recipe is from baker and private chef Lori Stern. If you scroll all the way down, you can find a link to Lori's site where you can buy the cookies or possibly contact her.
You could also simply watch the tutorial video where she gives you the recipe and write it down from there!

JEF

The cookies are absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to try baking them for a tea. Took me a few viewings of the video until I caught the entire recipe but I think it was time well spent. Only wish that my violas were still in bloom as they would have been the perfect little flower for the cookies. Thanks for sharing. Best, Sue
Thank you so much for the video! I have written down the recipe :) and I love your book list ❤️
Hi Sue,
Glad you were able to transcribe the video recipe. Seems like a normal shortbread but with the addition of the gorgeous flowers and petals.
Thanks for visiting!
Best,
JEF
Hi small dog,
Thanks for visiting and commenting--glad you like the book list, they are all very special to me. As I say, they were life-changing when I read them in big or small ways. And sometimes it is the small ways that end up being the biggest...
Best,
JEF
