BEAUTY: Photography--Nenad Bacanovic
In his series of photographs he calls Reframing Exercise, Serbian photographer Nenad Bacanovic zeroes in on layers of old paint, aged metal, and weathered textures in public spaces. The results of this "out of context' photography are these lovely abstract images. Such textures are all around us: it reminds me of the time a few years ago when I was stopped in a traffic jam and I became enamored with the asphalt, trash, and yellow lines on the side of the road, so I started capturing the view from my car window, seen here.
