BEAUTY: Clothing--Hed Mayner

Israeli designer and Karl Lagerfeld Prize by LVMH winner Hed Mayner is used to working with over-sized garments in his designs. He has been showing on the official calendar for Paris Fashion Week since 2017 but he has just made it on to my radar now. This Spring Summer '24 collection at PFW plays with volume in a way that feels like it goes beyond "over-sized" and into something akin to a disguise, shelter, insulation...all concepts that make sense when one considers the state of the world...add in elements from the Israeli army and you have yourself a story.
