BEAUTY: Clothing--Thom Browne
Provocateur suprême Thom Browne showed a highly theatrical SS '12 collection at the legendary Art Nouveau restaurant Maxim's in Paris. Inspired by, naturally, 1920s Paris, mostly pantsless models clad in pinstripes, socks and garters, long strands of flapper pearls, and flapper fringe sauntered through the space in cloche hats while Piaf sang "Milord." It's a theme taken to a marvelous, highly entertaining, extreme conclusion.
And the maestro himself, below, in the short suit that I myself have been, as promised, "rocking" quite frequently this summer!
