BEAUTY: Interior Product Design--Schoolhouse Electric Co
Schoolhouse Electric Co. is a Portland-based lighting fixture company that specializes in the reproduction of antique fixtures, glass shades, and lamps. Aside from a marvelous selection of chandeliers, pendants, and sconces from 1900 to the 1950s (based on original designs, some using antique molds for fabrication!), they just introduced a line of table lamps that seems to combine several periods; several even invoke a Steampunk vibe, especially the Beaker Lab lamp!
They also sell the Edison bulbs you see in each socket. Edison bulbs seem to be one of the hottest trends right now in the Interior Design world. I have seen them in design show houses for two years and counting!
From top to bottom, we see two views of the Ion table lamp, the first with a khaki twisted fabric cord and the second with a red twisted fabric cord. Next is the charming Beaker Lab light, followed by the Lift, Task Lab, and Orb table lamps. Visit their website to see more!
