Bar Far

As part of art space Villa Lontana in Rome, artists Clementine Keith-Roach and Christopher Page have created an art piece that functions as a real bar for meeting and gathering. Keith Roach created plaster body parts that jut out from the walls to hold candles, tables, and seats, bringing to mind the fantastical imagery from Jean Cocteau's immortal film "La Belle et la Bête." And the fiery skies seen outside of the arches at the rear of the bar and through a small porthole were created by Page. The space is mesmerizing. It is open Wednesday–Saturday, 3–9pm...but hurry, it only exists until March 14, 2026.
